Welcome to my website!

I am a PhD candidate in Population Health in the Bouvé College of Health Sciences and a graduate researcher at the Institute for Health Equity and Social Justice Research at Northeastern University.

I am passionate about using data-driven methods to better understand the health and experiences of women, children, and families around the world.

I have a bachelor's in psychology from the University of California Los Angeles and a master's in clinical psychology from Columbia University. I use quantitative and qualitative methods to study the social and political determinants of health and health inequities, and I've conducted research globally in East Africa as well as domestically in the US. My current projects span mental health systems-building, political polarization and health, and the role of immigration status and policy in women's health.

As an educator, I use a social justice lens to highlight the structures and systems that perpetuate inequities in our society and how best to dismantle these to improve the health of the public. I am deeply driven to mentor and guide women in academia and encourage more women to enter STEM fields.

I'm a fierce work-life balance advocate - in my free time you can find me being an overzealous dogmom to my two rescue dogs, trying out new recipes, traveling to different countries (pre-pandemic), sharing my thoughts on my social media channels, or glued to a new TV series!
